Sarah MacDougall
Who am I?
I am Sarah MacDougall, originally from Glasgow Scotland and have been living in Toronto since the summer of 2003. Canada is now home. I am a mother of Caline (13) and Zaven (12) who are half Lebanese and were born and brought up in Beirut. I am the co-founder and CEO of donorworx, a fundraising consultancy and share it with my best friend and love of my life, David Tweedale. I am also a certified personal trainer, have just caught the running bug and started training for the Toronto Half Marathon this year. I never sit still, except when beading or at the theatre, two of my other great passions.
Why Imagine Ethiopia 2010?
I have a burning need to do more, to interact with the communities that I represent when doing my job every day and I was drawn to be part of the extraordinary group of individuals participating in the Imagine Ethiopia 2010 trip.
What possibility am I creating for myself and for this trip?
I want to create the possibility of providing a voice for the children of Ethiopia by meeting them, and understanding their needs and in doing so I will fulfill my need to take on more of my global mother responsibilities.
When am I most inspired?
I am most inspired when I witness random acts of kindness, when people act selflessly and do not look to be thanked.
imagine1day…
when no child goes to bed hungry, or must work instead of going to school. Imagine 1 day when all children are granted the same opportunities in life. imagine1day being part of that solution. |
